First Aid Incident Reporting

Scope

All First Aid incidents and near misses within Sutton District must be reported using this process.
This applies to District Sections only. Individual Scout Groups are responsible for maintaining their own reporting processes.

Process

Incidents should be reported using the District online form.
A Sutton District email address is not required to submit the form.
If completing the online form is not practical at the time of the incident:

  • Record the details on the paper form.
  • Transfer the information to the online form as soon as possible.
  • Destroy the paper copy locally once the online entry has been made.

Once the online form is submitted:

  • A confirmation email will be sent to the reporter.
  • For data protection, the patient’s name will be redacted in the confirmation

Review

The Trustee Board holds responsibility for safety across Sutton District Scouts.

  • The Board will review all reported incidents.
  • Where appropriate, actions will be taken to reduce the likelihood of similar incidents occurring in the future.
