Network Scouts are the fifth section of The Scout Association after Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Aged 18 young people must leave the youth section, but that does not mean their own Scouting life stops. Try More, See More, Do More as you reach adulthood.
You may choose to take on a leader’s role, but if you are off to University or training you may not need or want that responsibility yet. Under the guidance of a District Scout Network Commissioner, you can continue working towards your own personal achievements of Duke of Edinburgh Gold and The Queens Scout Award.
You can work with other young people of your own age and devise a programme that suits your requirements. You will be eligible to join many of our International events like Moots. You can also attend local or international Jamborees in a support or leadership role
This could be the start of your journey to achieving our top award the Queen’s Scout Award and the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. All requirements must be completed by the age of 25.
