Introducing Squirrel Scouts
Squirrel Scouts are the youngest members of the Scouting family, open to children aged four to six. This section, known as a Drey, is a fantastic introduction to the world of Scouting. Our programme is designed to be fun and engaging, focusing on developing skills in a gentle and supportive environment.
Squirrels can earn a variety of badges, divided into two main categories: Activity Badges and The Acorn Challenge Award. Activity Badges, like the Feel Good or Hiker badges, are earned by completing tasks related to a specific topic. Challenge Awards are all about stepping outside your comfort zone. Try out something you wouldn’t normally be interested in. Take the lead on something that scares you. Along the way, you’ll unlock hidden talents and stand tall. These badges are proudly worn on their uniform, serving as a reminder of the new skills they’ve learned and the fun they’ve had.

Why Choose Squirrels?
Squirrel Scouts is about more than just fun; it’s about helping your child gain #skillsforlife. Through games and activities, they’ll learn to share, take turns, and make new friends. The program is a great way to prepare them for school and for the next stage of their Scouting journey, Beavers. We provide a safe, nurturing space for your child to be themselves and discover the world around them. Our motto is “Be Prepared,” and we’re dedicated to helping every child feel ready for the adventures ahead.
