The Cub section is the second section in the Scouting family. You can join Cub Scouts on or after your eight birthday and you will usually move on to the next section (Scouts) when you are between ten and eleven years old.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your pack. This will mean sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities, such as archery, assault course, go karts, canoeing, sailing, climbing, abseiling and many more.
There are many badges to collect, this range from activity badges to challenge badges. If you achieve all the challenge badges, you will be presented with the Chief Scouts Silver Award, the highest badge you can earn in Cubs.
